I'm both a manager, developer, and a hobby gamer. I needed a laptop that could take me playing a few hours of video games, or could allow me to sit through meetings and type up my notes.
This laptop has covered both of those perfectly. If you check out comparison sites for its graphics card, you will see that it has about a midrange card (the 555M, that is). This can play Skyrim at high (but not ultra) settings at about 30 FPS (so it may lag a little bit compared to a high-end card, but I haven't had that issue).
In addition, it has this little switch in the front. When you flick it, it will switch between modes. The first default mode utilizes the integrated Intel 3000 card, and tweaks settings in order to conserve battery power. When you flick it again, a little white light will come on. This turns on the nVidia 555M, brightens your screen a bit, and tweaks settings to prefer power over battery life.
I personally installed a fresh copy of windows on the SSD in order to remove some of the bloatware crap that all manufactured computers came with (this one had some sort of McAffee crap on there - gone!). You have to go through some of Lenovo's manufactured stuff to do this, which is pretty simple, actually. If you do a quick search for "Reinstall windows on Lenovo rapiddrive" you should be able to get Lenovo's actual page that describes how to reinstall Windows onto the SSD. When you reinstall it, if you do it correctly, it even preserves a backup of the drivers that you need for everything from the Energy Management software, to graphics, wireless, USB 3.0 drivers, even Lenovo's theatre and facial recognition applications.
Definitely worth the money. I paid $900 for this at Fry's, and I absolutely love it. The only con I have found is that it's a pain to find a laptop sleeve that will fit a 15.6" properly.
